College Students in Arizona Heading Home for Thanksgiving with the Pandemic
November 17, 2020
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and with all the pandemic concerns, college students are struggling with the dilemma of going back home to see their relatives.
An article released by azfamily.com
stated that many universities are offering free COVID-19 tests and encourage the students to get the test before going back home. The students were also required to fill out a survey to specify their travel plans.
The University of Arizona has a pre-holiday plan called "testing blitz" to test their students. Last week, tests were up by 34%, and they will continue with the testing until Nov. 25th. Dr. Richard Carmona, with the University of Arizona, was encouraging about the testing and said, "[We wanted] to make sure we're doing everything we can here on the campus as good citizens as part of a bigger community."
Also, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University say they are trying to get more students tested as well. Read the complete article here: Arizona college students to head home for Thanksgiving amid pandemic.
